Clear & Sweet is a powerful search for redemption. This compelling and impassioned performance marries Scofield's visceral choreography and Shuey's cutting-edge videography with the raw, uniquely American tradition of Sacred Harp Singing. Mixing live SH singers with a stellar cast of dancers and performed in the round, this new work plays with constantly shifting points of perspective and highlights strengths in roots and community.

Your Sparkling Eyes: Music from Clear & Sweet
We are delighted to announce the vinyl and digital release of 'Your Sparkling Eyes: The Music From Clear & Sweet.' The recording clocks in at just over 50 minutes and was tracked at On The Boards in Seattle, WA. 'Your Sparkling Eyes' features the sacred harp tunes from Clear & Sweet as well as compositions by Evan Anderson.

Clear & Sweet was commissioned through the National Performance Network’s Creation Fund with lead funding from the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project, MAP Fund, 4Culture and Seattle Office of Arts & Culture. Clear & Sweet was made possible by generous contributions from John Robinson, Case Van Rij, Jeremy Steward, James Rodney, and Dawn Aiken along with donations received through Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG. Zoe also received a Guggenheim Fellowship for her work with Clear & Sweet.
This work was created in part during the Tisch Dance Summer Residency Program at New York University and in residence at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, On the Boards, Contemporary Arts Center New Orleans, and The Bellagio Center through the Rockefeller Foundation.
