This is short video to give you an idea of the video installation that was left over from our 4 day performance in the gallery space at the Frye Art Museum

TITLE: No one to witness… study #2: the Frye YEAR CREATED: 2012 Frye, study #2, second study for No One…, was commissioned by the Frye Art Museum, Seattle, for their group show, Mw (Moment Magnitude), November 2012. We had a weeklong residency in the museum building a video, sculpture and performance installation during museum hours that visitors could watch from all sides. The “performance” was the process of building the installation itself. Throughout each day we created plaster casts of the dancers based on line drawings Zoe did of them rehearsing the choreography. These were hung in the space where they happened with each day of our drawing vantage point notated by tape lines connecting the day’s point to the days casts. Concurrently, Juniper created video to be projected from filmed material, past videos and playing with their layers. Eventually the physical accumulation of the cast movement, videos and notated space overtook the space, necessitating the shifting of the choreography. This work sample shows some of the process / dance on the second day.
