Foundations: Research as Action is a new program that allows zoe | juniper to further explore and challenge ourselves by bringing our artistic process to Seattle audiences. For our preliminary Foundations: Research as Action, we will use our recent perspective-shifting work, always now, as a starting place to reassess the way we think about art-making. Through 3 residencies and 3 showings, each focused on a different compositional element, either sound, video, or set, we aim to view the work as separate choreographic bodies to deepen our understanding of the audience’s perspective of time and space.
Join us for our first of 3 Foundations Showings where we are looking at sound as a choreographic body. During these showings, audience members will lay on the ground as the zoe | juniper company explores ideas for their new work 'always now'.
We want to share with you and hear your thoughts and experiences within our experiment.
The show is pay what you can, but requires pre-registration due to the limited spacing.
